It’s time to celebrate summer!

summer fun

There are several opportunities this summer to help your child practice socials skills and organization during the summer months. Summer groups are offered out of doors when possible and appropriate to take advantage of our beautiful summer weather. Groups meet daily for 4 days in a week-long format and include an individual session at my office.

Preschool and Elementary-Age Groups

Middle School Prep Group

In preparation for the move to middle school, I will offer a week long class for rising middle schoolers. Participants will learn organizational strategies, problem solving and decision making skills and practice tools for making and keeping new friends. Our goal is to alleviate fears and anxieties about this important milestone and set students up for success. (Individual coaching sessions are also available. Contact for more details.)

August 17-20 11:00-12:15

How to register:

The first step is to contact me to set up a 50 minute individual session. I will provide any additional information about the group you are interested in and learn more about your goals for your child’s participation. I will also meet individually with your child and offer him or her the chance to ask questions and set goals. We will determine together which group is the best fit for your child.

Location and Cost:

As stated, weather permitting, we will hold groups at local parks which are in walking distance to my office at 300 North Washington Street in Old Town, Alexandria. In the event that weather prevents us meeting, we will meet at my office in Suite 607.

The cost of each group is $400. This includes the individual session and group sessions as well as all materials. Many insurances cover a portion of the cost of group therapy and a receipt will be provided so that you may submit to insurance after the group if you wish.

If you interested in registering for a group, please contact to reserve your child’s space today.
