Does your child lack confidence?

Does she struggle to “let things go”?

Do small problems becoming big problems quickly?

Does worry prevent your child from taking social risks?

If so, your child may be helped by learning to be more flexible with friends, family members, even him or herself. Based on the work of Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking Curriculum, this group will help your child learn to be more comfortable and effective in a variety of situations. Group members will learn to make and keep friends and gain self-confidence.

Preschool and Elementary-Age Groups

social skills group

This fall two groups are being offered:

Preschool group – Ages 4 to 5 – Tuesdays 1:00-1:45, Beginning in October

Elementary group – Grades 1-3 – Wednesdays 5:30-6:30, Beginning in October

How to register:

The first step is to contact me to set up a 30 minute individual session. I will provide any additional information about the group you are interested in and learn more about your goals for your child’s participation. I will also meet individually with your child and offer him or her the chance to ask questions and to set goals. We will determine together if a group is the best fit for your child.

Location and Cost:

Group sessions are held at 300 North Washington St. Ste. 607.

The cost of each group is $575 ($75 per session). This includes the group sessions as well as all materials. Many insurances cover a portion of the cost of group therapy and a receipt will be provided so that you may submit to insurance after the group if you wish.

If you interested in registering for a group, please contact meladie@geyburke.com to reserve your child’s space today.
