Care for Caregivers Support Group

Caring for our loved ones is generally done out of compassion and love.  Therefore, we often don’t recognize the toll they can take on our mental, physical and emotional reserves. Becoming depleted of energy by the act of caring for others is often referred to as compassion fatigue. Compassion fatigue is a real phenomenon and if not attended to can lead to physical and emotional consequences.

To help replenish our resources of caregiving, I have developed a six-week group. In this group we will explore research-based practices for self-care and stress reduction. The class will include mindfulness practices, gentle yoga and breathing exercises, and time for questions and discussion. Participants will receive information to continue their learning and practicing. You will leave each session feeling energized and motivated to care for yourself in order to increase your capacity to care for others.

Please join us.
